Between them Dr Jon Kerr, Dr Anthony Caiafa and Dr Annie Walker have more than 60 years of dental experience. Gained through a range of practices across the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and also wider Australia.
Together they make a formidable team. One that have seen it all.
Indeed it is because of their collective skills and expertise that we are able to offer as wide a range of dental services as we do.
All of which are performed onsite at our Cotton Tree practice.
Our Resident Dentists
Dr Jon Kerr is our principal dentist. He is also the owner of Sunshine Coast Smile Centre. Along with his wife Aveen, who herself is the Practice Development Manager.
Born in Nottingham, Dr Jon Kerr received his Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Leeds in 1997. He is experienced in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. Including composite fillings, extractions, root canal treatments, crowns and bridges.
A Sunshine Coast resident for more than a decade, Jon is particularly passionate about Smile Makeovers and Teeth Whitening. Since taking ownership of Sunshine Coast Smile Centre in 2007 he whitened and straightened hundreds of smiles.
Dr Anthony Caiafa is one of an elite group of professionals. He is not just qualified as a dentist but also a veterinarian too.
Having worked as a vet for 16 years Anthony decided to broaden his professional skill set by studying for a Bachelor of Dental Science. Something which he completed by graduating dux of his year in 1998.
Boasting extensive experience in all aspects of general dentistry, Anthony has a particular interest in Dental Implants and Root Canal treatments.
The third of our dentists, Dr Annie Walker joined the team at Sunshine Coast Smile Centre in 2020, bringing with her over 15 years’ experience.
Annie is often complimented by patients about her gentle approach to dental treatment. She takes great care to ensure every visit is a comfortable experience for all her patients.
